About the Photographer - UKay

I am a Singaporean commercial photographer who has been in this business for the last 6.5 years. During the course of my photographic career, I have photographed for the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore Youth Foundation, Sing Health, Esprit, Fuji Film Cameras, Canon Digital Cameras, Sony HDV, The Lippo Realty Group as well as many others.

My work as a photographer and has given me the privilege of being able to meet people from many diverse backgrounds and cultures. The people I have met always commented that Singapore has something that brings them back and back again. The magnetic pull is so strong for some that they decide to make it their permanent home. Likewise, many Singaporeans who have traveled or relocated return here eventually, having recognized that this is their real home. This has given the inspiration and spark for me to embark on this project. In sync with the Singapore Spirit that is the theme of the National Day celebrations this year, this exhibition will celebrate what makes us Uniquely Singapore.
